This is probably the second largest Soviet Memorial in Germany. In a certain way it is even more convincing than the biggest on in Treptow because it is clearer and simpler. It's really worth to go here, you can find a lot of very interesting details. One of them is a place of special remembrance and honour for the Soviet soldiers who died in German POW-camps. Remember - those who didn't die but returned to the USSR in 1945 were not honoured but accused of "recreancy in front of the enemy" or even treachery. | |
