The additional factor in these quad births Tom is that it was all natural .The farmer was certainly surprised when first two that arrived were male and thinking that was it started to leave the stable. suddenly the third and fourth arrived and were female.

Very busy indeed Heather. Too many calves for one poor cow to feed. I believe that they had to supplement the feeding.

I have never heard of quads before.
When I was a kid on the farm we had a cow who had 8 sets of twins from 16 deliveries which is pretty uncommon.

Eight sets of twins would have been very uncommon Tavascarow. I grew up on a farm also and we never had a set of twin calves. The quads were certainly a BIG surprise for that farmer.
