But: isn't it dangerous these days? The glaziers are melting because of high temperatures. I can remember that the Eiger wall was in the news because it's in danger of crashing and tumbling down the valley...

Me again, sorry....no it was fun....we also saw the Eiger from Schilthorn
side.....but we were there in 2000....it was melting.. we were there in
August and it was so warm then....that is why we had our jackets on,, it is like raining inside, and it is wonderful because you can see the rocks and stones stuck in the ice....it was an amazing experience...and we climbed stairs up againt the rock mountain 777 steps....it was fun..looking back...
