As a person of Dutch heritage I was fascinated by the name of this commercial/ government office/ residential plaza. The Dutch (Hollanders) were famed as mariners and commercial travellers centuries ago. This verdi-grise tower clock, I thought must be a monument to their voyages, battles and commercial ventures throughout the seven seas during the time of flying sails and big boom smoke signals.
