It's a 1 km sandy beach. Lot's of backpackers. A wide variety of accomodations and cafe's and restaurants.
On each side, it's clothes optional.

It was really a beautiful experience to sit there on the Beach, listen to the waves and watch the Sun go down.

I have a very short 4 days booked in as part of a package on the mexican riviera .. But I might offload this to someone else and spend a bit more relaxed time in 2008

Have been to the Mexican Riviera - Punta Beta 7 km up the Beach from Playa Carmen. Herd it's been very crowed there the past years.
We like it better in Puerto Angel and Zipolite. really antistress.
