Misty sunshine enhancing glorious views,
Light dancing over water shading noble hues,
Mountains as a backdrop brushed in crispy snow,
The splendour of this Cumbrian picturesque show,
High waterfalls tumbling frothy and white,
Catching the sunshine in dappled skitting light,
Traffic on the water and birds in the wake,
All redeeming features of this tranquil Lake,
Flurries of snow and cracked ice on banks doth cling,
Snowdrops by the water as Winter turns to Spring,
Exploring the Lakes an evocative heavenly desire,
Surpassing radiant excellence of beauty we admire.
