Luang Phor Thuad is immensely popular with the Southern Thais and increasingly, elsewhere in Thailand for the miracles associated with him.

Commissioned by the Queen of Thailand, Wat Huay Mongkol houses the largest statue of Luang Phor Thuad in the world in a park-like setting that attracts large numbers of visitors especially on holidays and weekends.

The Luang Phor Thuad image sits 11.5 metre high on a pedestal with four other smaller images in niches where the faithful pastes gold-leaf in honour of Luang Phor Thuad.
