Nah, I'm stood on the path where the changing rooms used to be. The lawns are dry now! It's a shame the pool went but health and safety removes all the fun!

I spend many wonderful times swimming in there even though sometimes it felt ice cold.
My mother used to work in the cafe there, so I was in the pool most days right through the season.
From my childhood days in the fifties and sixties right up to the end, it was a place were you could enjoy yourself and the lovely surroundings and where you would always find some of your friends.
It wasn't so much health and safety that put an end to it, more like the council didn't want to spend any money on it. When they finally realised what they were losing it was far too late!
I'm afraid it's something that those of us who grew up in and around the park won't ever forgive them for!
