My interpretation of the sea is "freedom". Her body language shows us that she wants to escape from the "ordinary life" somewhere in silence, maybe to that place in the foggy background. She's almost floating above the sand... and it all gives such beautiful emotion; it can't be expressed through the words (even if we try hard).
