Montreal has certainly changed since I was living there. Of course so have all the major cities. We used to go down St. Catherine St. day or night and never be nervous or have a problem. I wouldn't do it now. Great series of B& W photos.

For sure it as changed and like you there are certain parts of Montreal I would not dare adventure.
