Yes, these are on most old houses but are no longer in use as the majority of homes now have central heating and fireplaces have been bricked up. Still, I think a real fire is much better because it is more homely,cheaper and intresting. We are being hammerd with fuel bills here so I'm going to open my fireplace for next winter and use smakeless fuel.
