After all that, we paraded out o fthe church - Father Andy at the head of the procession. He was a top Priest Bloke. Very serious about the whole business (as he should be!) but not too solemn or stiff. As you can see in the background, some of the mosaic work was covered by boards because of Lent.
This is the oldest church in the area, and it sits at the highest point in the town. Apparently St. Michael's churches were built on old Pagan sites, and there has been a church there fr the best part of 1000 years, so I guess we received some good strong ancient Wedding Mojo.
