Title: Two on a Log Could Be Trouble

This alligator had been on the log for about 45-minutes sunning itself. On my second lap around the boardwalk, all of a sudden a Great Blue Heron flew in and landed on the end of the log. I expected there to be a commotion but the gator was either asleep or totally oblivious to what had just happened because it was enjoying the warm sunshine.

great image, looks like gator missed out on a good dinner opportunity, but i guess the heron would have just taken off if the gator got closer, I know from photographing herons you have to be very quit & careful
