It means many things Les, God, Good luck, wellbeing.....
Many people chant the word AUM in their mind for a sence of inner peace. For me I wear this to give me inner strength and a sence of whatever I do in life may God protect me and guide me down the right path.

I could go on for hours about this but I wont lol but that is what I see the AUM representing. :) x
