Architrave block found among the ruins of the Jupiter-Baal Temple (Heliopolitan Zeus Temple)

The Jupiter Temple was the greatest of the three Baalbek temples and was constructed between the first century BC and 62 AD. On top, the Jupiter columns were connected by architrave blocks. In the early 20th century an earthquake reduced the originally 54 columns to six. The architrave blocks weigh up to 60 tons each, and the corner blocks over 100 tons, all of them raised to a height of ca. 19 m above the ground:
