Senna...this looks like a post card.....I often look at post cards from various places to see what the professionals see......you have certainly achieved that "professional eye"...
Ruth, Genemuiden lies about 100 km. NE of Amsterdam, somewhere between Zwolle and Meppel. It is a small village (9000 people) with a long history that goes back to the 5th century (then it was called Gelmuda). It got municipal rights in 1275.
Heather, I remember that I wanted to make pictures in this village, but everywhere there were cars and I hate cars in my pictures. So we decided first to have lunch and after lunch, amazingly, all cars had vanished. The village had become a deserted place!

everything is much more, well, i don't know how to say that ... like the photo with of gees that you could see on my page ....
I saw you geese photo Jceca. In some rural parts of the Netherlands you see similar sceneries, but it is true the villages themselves are in general very tidy.
