Roger, by now I have scanned the negatives of all photos we took since we bought our first camera (1966). To all foto files I have attached keywords, so it is very easy to navigate through my collection of about 15000 photos!

I like the idea of the "" keywords..."" we have so many photo's,
we use dates... but it does not always work.....

I find that a lot of our photo scanned in does not open in JPG... specially
our Canyon roadtrip 2004.. I so much want to upload some of those...
will have to convert them all to JPG....

I think converting your photos to JPG can be done quickly with many photo editing programs (e.g. PS, GIMP, ACDSee, ...).

You may be right Hans, I did some google work and found this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riffa_Fort
The fortress I took looks very much like the Riffa fort in this Wikipedia article, although I am not really sure. The Riffa fortwas built by Sh.Salman Bin Ahmed in 1812.
