	Apr 28 2008 11:48 GMT senna3 PRO IiLan, as to the history of the cheese activities in Edam, the right to have a so-called "Waag" (weigh-house) for selling cheese goes back to 16 April 1526 and was given by the Emperor Charles V. So the cheese of Edam has a history of many centuries!
