Yesterday I bought a new camera, last night I familiarized myself with the many features, and this morning I took the first photos.
In the many reviews of this camera it is claimed that it is able to take photos of good quality from wide angle mode until tele mode without using a tripod (see e.g. http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews/sony_cybershot_dsc_hx100v_review/conclusion/ ).

I wanted to see this with my own eyes, so I took a wide angle photo (see above) and from the same place (at about 9 m. distance), with maximal zoom (30x), a detail photo (see next picture). Because of the rainy weather I took the photos at home. I am happy with the results.

Bea, I did check the various internet prices for this camera. At the moment the lowest price (including postage) is 444 euro, but you can get it even slightly cheaper when you choose a web shop which has a back cash arrangement of 25 euro with Sony. Then you can get it for 435 euro.

Iam thinking about to buy a Canon SX30 IS. I cheked on ebay, but don't found better prices as in the shops in the town. May be later.
