Ja Wil, in die tijd nog geen veiligheidsgordels in de auto.
De dames protesteerden elke keer als ze die tuigjes weer aan moesten en wij zonder mochten. Het was over toen we zeiden dat zij in de auto niet hoefden, maar wel mochten gaan slapen, terwijl wij wakker moesten blijven!

In 1970 safety belts were not yet standard in cars, so we bought a sort of harness for them that could be fixed to the back of their settee in the car.
