I'd love to sit and watch him for a while. A craftsman for sure (I imagine). Don't suppose you know what that stack of (?) is in the back. Maybe some kind of grass?

Larry, it is a stack of pieces of mulberry bark. It is used for mulberry paper and the parasol frame as well.
