I have always mixed feelings when I visit a Zoo Minz, but at least the accommodations in the Basel Zoo are much better than in Amsterdam (Artis). There are now plans to improve the animal accommodations in Artis.

Very nice Zoo isn't it Anna. The accommodation for the animals is quite natural and you can easily take pictures, without fences that destroy your photo!

In fact Carla, he was a bit angry. People were wildly gesturing and that upset him.

I shall never forget about this Basel zoo how we walked around a corner and stood practically eye in eye with a large greyish wolf separated from us by water and a fence, but nevertheless pretty close... Furthermore they had a great aquarium with a silvery fish, it was the most beautiful fish I had (and have) ever seen... And then the orang utan family with a father that wanted to rest and a very little one that wanted to play, and how we smiled at seeing the father picking up the little one, without moving from his place, and putting the baby time and time again as far away as he possible could...
