Like the Kashmiris who ply their boats on Dal Lake at Srinagar whole day with the difference that they do not steer boats with their feet and here lies the marvelity of the Burmese,again a great daily life shot !!!!!

Jim, Soumen and Larry, the one-leg rower in the picture is not only steering his boat with his leg but first of all rowing his boat. The Intha people of Inle Lake developed this technique of standing at one leg and rowing with the other, so that their hands are free to handle the fishing net. Inle Lake is the only place in the world where this rowing technique is applied.
