Petronas Towers
Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, April 2011

We arrived rather late in KL and of course our first shot was aimed at the Petronas Twin Towers!
The Petronas Towers are skyscrapers and were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004 until surpassed by Taipei 101, but they remain the tallest twin buildings in the world. The building is the landmark of Kuala Lumpur together with the nearby Kuala Lumpur Tower: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petronas_Towers

These buildings are amazing. Doug was having a look at this photo and said that the twin towers weren't yet built when he was in KL the last time. What a difference a few years makes.

Petronas twin towers in KL .. Sabah in East Malaysia
is almost 2-hr flight from KL to Kota Kinabalu, my
home town. You must have a great time in W. Malaysia.

A very modern city Lie, with sometimes wonderful modern architecture, many historical monuments and beautiful temples. We did like it very much, but we stayed only for two days, much too short!
