Ruins of the Jupiter-Baal Temple (Heliopolitan Zeus Temple)
Lebanon, Baalbek, April 2009

The Jupiter Temple was the greatest of the three Baalbek temples and was constructed between the first century BC and 62 AD. The original number of Jupiter columns was 54 columns. In the early 20th century an earthquake reduced the 10 remaining columns to six. The architrave blocks weigh up to 60 tons each, and the corner blocks over 100 tons, all of them raised to a height of ca. 19m above the ground: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baalbek

Nancy, the Wikipedia link describes how the Romans used multiple cranes to lift the stones!
