I have a special, 12 volumes animal encyclopedia which I bought a long time ago to determine the animals in my animal-motives stamp collection. But even these extended handbooks do not say anything about the construction of the neck of a giraffe!

I'm amazed with the position of the Giraffe here! Coz when I go to the zoo, normally they're busy munching & make me think they even sleep standing !

For us it also was the first time to see a "sitting" giraffe!
Btw, he/she was not the only one, I took a picture with four "lazy" giraffes!

Probably coz they can't run like their friends in the wild!
