Heather, these horses (about 6) were really fond of people and wanted to be touched, perhaps hoping for some sugar lumps. My wife had read that horses love peppermint too, so we tried. Only two of them liked it!

I guess they are like humans....some prefer one thing and others have different preferences. Ours liked apples an awful lot. I miss my horses from the farm...wish I'd had the time to do more photography when we were on the farm. I missed some golden opportunities. At that time I was often taking photos but not nearly as seriously as I am now. Hopefully I am improving...I guess as long as we keep trying.
