Most of the houses in this Zuiderzee museum are from various places around the former Zuiderzee (a former inner sea that was closed by a dike in the 1920-ies and then got the name IJsselmeer). These houses were broken down brick by brick and rebuilt with the original bricks in this museum.

The museum is nice William, but Enkhuizen itself is a very charming litttle town too!
