What a giant! It's great to see that mushrooms are in season again... I guess they must be around most of the year in your part of the world, except for winter.
Doris, according to my fungus guide it is possible to find mushroom the whole year through, even in our very mild winters. But in autumn, in particular after a few rainy days, there is an explosion of mushrooms!
They are wonderful to look at, Peter. There is nothing more enchanting but to walk through a beautiful european forest with all these fungi popping up everywhere. :-)
