My memory entry for 18 December.
The selfmade kitchen we had for over 30 years has gone.
I have dear memories of the delicious meals my wife prepared in this piece of home crafts.
The last 3 weeks we have been busy with a new up-to-date kitchen.

our kitchen is more than 37 years old and i wouldn't mind to get a new one ... not at all ...
it was a wedding gift to my parents !!!!

That was the strong feature of our old kitchen Bea. Walls and ceiling were all covered with wood to give you the impression that you were in a log-cabin, very cosy. But it was not so easy to clean!
Hans, at least it was a unique kitchen, and knowing that it was designed and built by ourselves made it extra special. But it had served its time and a modern kitchen has advantages too!
Jceca, I must confess that I had difficulties to break down the work I did so long ago and that had proved to be a convenient design. But in a way it was a bit primitive and not anymore up-to-date!
That is true Liz. We seriously considered to move to an apartment (after 37 years in our present house), but in the end we decided to stay, although the house is a bit large for the two of us. We now started several renovations!
