Jim (Timeless) asked me whether the object in the background of the picture at the right is a dam or a bridge. I don't know for what that structure is used, but the picture above shows that it is not a bridge or dam.

A fine riverscape,I agree with you that the structure is not a bridge or dam but I think it's erected to keep that bush at bay as it may encroach the mouth of the river which as per the shot looks very narrow.
