Hooglandse Kerk
Netherlands, Leiden, March 2009

The history of this church goes back to 1314. Unfortunately I could only find Dutch and German documentation ( http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hooglandse_Kerk ).

Liz, I am also very much impressed by these huge churches. But it is so difficult to get pictures fo them. With a wide angle lens it is possible to get the whole church on the photo, but the lens aberrations require a lot of after-editing!

An impressive structure. I can't even begin to figure out how they built it without today's tools. Amazing!
