A well done collage of a rather sad event !! At the time of my journey in New Mexico last spring, it had different fires at the border in Mexico. We could even smell the smoke and had to close the windows and stop the fan during some hours....
We saw the fire when it first started and proceeded to a back road I knew to get a birds eye view of the fire. Luckily shortly after we arrived in the area, the fire service had already been advised and were already on the seen. They were able to get everything under control before it damaged any people or dwellings in the area.
The Helicopters were drawing water from Diamond Valley Lake and the planes that came dropped retardant. Those guys sure know their business. Thanks God for the Fire Services.
Great documentation and entry for the theme. Where is Diamond Valley Lake?
I thought it may be in Australia as they are having a hot spell there.
You can only do so much to battle hot weather like that!
I apreciate the fire fighters as well....my nephew is currently serving in his community.
