Fannyann Eddy, founder of the Sierra Leone Lesbian and Gay Association and a lesbian rights activist across Africa was brutally murdered on the September 29, 2004. FannyAnn was repeatedly raped, stabbed and her neck broken as she worked late into the night in the offices of the SLLGA. She was 30 years old and left a 9-year-old son.
