Many had little treats in their baskets to give to the kids watching the parade, varying from tiny bags with peanuts to small ice cream cups (no they didnt carry those in the baskets for hours. many groups had a car riding behind them with food and drinks for the people in the parade and for the group handing out the ice creams a cooling jug)
