In my language Afrikaans [Southern Africa] it is called a 'Trapsuutjies' Tread silently' I have seen one on them run in my life, it fell out of a tree and seconds later it was followed by a snake. When he hit the ground he started to run. I killed the snake before it could reach him. But he died only minutes later, I never knew why.
Tekkies, probably the snake already bit him in the tree. these animals are usually not falling out of trees. most poisons take a little while to reach the heart or brains. So when it started to run, the bloodflow probably speeded up and .... it would have been dead anyway only not running would have taken a little longer.
PS did you eat the snake? they taste like chicken too :-))) snake soup, good food!
The skin of the iguana doesnt dry well so I could not make anything out of it and I threw it away. But snakeskin is known to be perfect for wallets ;) I hope you did not waste it ;)
Oh no! I did not waste a centimetre!!! The split tongue is a delicatesse here but because it is so small I had to kill 40 more snakes to get a real taste of snake tongue! ;)
and now you wear snakeskin boots, snakeskin pants, snakeskin shirts and a snakeskin hat :-))
the iguana is a delicatesse here because the male iguana has a double dick. eating iguana soup is considered a high grade fertiliser. I wonder what the average female reptile prefers, a split dick or a split tongue? ;)
It's already been eaten... we got to wait till another is being handed to me (I'm not going to catch any or kill them. today somebody told me they are protected animals)
If I'm correct there is a farm somewhere where (unprotected) iguanas are bred commercially. I'm going to find out so you wont be arrested when you arrive at the airport
In North-East of Thailand Eating it too ;(
They call it "Kapom" it living on the tree too, but where the road reached it'd rarely see around there ;(
I've teste once at fried which spices and the chilly, It's test was so much better then chicken
