What a wonderful capture!

6 cups/day is a lot of nectar. You must have 30 or 40 hummers.

Larry, last year I did some research and figured out that there were at least 75 hummers. I have gone through over 28#s of sugar so far this summer. It is so hot and dry here there aren't many wildflowers, the only flowers that are blooming are the volunteer zinnias that are in the veg. garden. That is all I can afford to water.

I understand Jo. Our country's mid section has really been suffering with drought conditions.

Cool capture....and yours share....many drinking holes but the ones at my house refuse to share...and they won't be still long enough for me to get a picture either...but I keep trying : ))

I just sat with my camera and waited for them to come back to the feeder. I sat my camera so that it would take multiple exposures. Deleted lots but it is the only way I can get them.
