Maksade Hussain

The guy in the picture is a beggar.. he is a Sunni from the majority community, they dont commemorate Moharram as we do.. all our practice our sorrow for Imam Hussain the martyred grandson of the Holy Prophet is is condemned as heretical.
Grief and sorrow have a universality shared by all religions.. including Cathlolics and the 14 Stations of the Cross.. I am not here to expound or expostulate.. .dont expect me to change my views or beliefs.. but I take you to a photographic pilgrimage and nothing else..I promise you that..this is not juvenile sufi stuff this is hard core pain..called Ghame Hussain.. the Pain Of Hussain we live it out..and I am sure you know all that Big Brother already rules Iraq by proxy.
I believe in Karbala but the geographical one is a holy site highly venerated in Iraq..My Karbala is in my heart and soul of my beliefs..you cant se it or feel it only I can.... and I stopped posting pictures out of season..but this is my favorite pictorial subject.... skip it.. it would please me too but I am a recorder of the history of my people and this will remain....earlier I knew nothing about galleries so I just went on posting..and more than a Shia..I am Man..a tale of Mankind. And this is grief has no religion.. it belongs to the universality of human pain..
Hussain is Humanity.

Shah ast Hussain, Badshah ast Hussain
Deen ast Hussain, Deen Panah ast Hussain
Sardad na dad dast, dar dast-e-yazeed,
Haqaa key binaey La ila ast Hussain

Loosely translated

Ruler is Hussain, Emperor is Hussain,
Faith is Hussain , guardian of faith is Hussain .
Offered his head and not the hand to Yazid.

My pictures of Moharram have been deleted and I am thankful to Greg for telling me that members took offence.. my reasons never have been religious promtion. My school of thought is beyond the scope of religion,,. I shoot all religions including the church.. we kill maim and destroy in the name of an individual God.. and this God unfortunately is man made.. according to me God created us to live and live peacefully..but we changed the laws to our selfish needs.. and thus destroyed man and the rest of humanity.. I as a colored Indian. and at times I am treated and digraced as a foreigner in my own country and one cant change the rules and I dont want to break any at this moment of my life. not at Fotothing..that let me stand on the shoulders of a Photo Blog and be seen.. I owe my upbringing to an English system of education.. I learnt my ABC under actual English teachers.. and they live in me as yet .. Mrs E Lester, Miss June, Miss Marjorie and the name of the school harboured in a John the Baptist Church was Private European School.. and in between to I was asked nor to post Sufi pictures I stopped..I was a traditionalist international photographer left that world as I wanted to resize and reseize my pictoriality.. I wanted to get away from Renaissance Rembrandt fucked lighting masters, anselm, adams, and unlearn photography .. I did and I saved myself through the Blog.. but I am hurt only for one reason.. that when will we grow up and see the world being raped and pillaged without blinders,..there is worst to Moharram.. or so called Sufism.. the killing minefields, the suicide bombers, and you are the guys that created England beyond the shores of the British Emipre .. you created monsters like me Nirad Chowdhary .. and made us think ,live ,dream, enact our lives in English.. and today you have disappointed me .. and hence I am more at Buzznet because however dumb you consider you American cousins.. they at least are not puerile in their views of maturity..and Iam honest what ever I am its all because of sharing and caring by a blog called Buzznet .Wake up before time and the world passes you by.. thank you ..my sincere apologies to those unfortunate hurt souls.. I thought I was getting hurt cutting my forehead.. I failed to show you my fragmented genius..embedded in my bloodied brain and it has an English cricket field and fair play..resounding the neighbourhood of my soul Firoze Shakir..Photographerno1.Mumbai,India.

And I am now convinced that racism exists in the blogosphere too..the same pictures shot by a Brit in Iraq with a name as John Bull would have had no reason for complaint from members.. we live in a grown up world I am not hurt by the deletion of my pictures the moderatoe was doing his job,, I am hurt with the system.. Id ont like someones picture I dont cry like a baby I move on thata what I do .. I skip.. when will we come out our so called Victorian Diapers.. you guys did not spare Oscar Wilde your own how will you spare me .. and I dont even measure as a mam of letters but he is my patron saint
Ikeep his picture in my prayer room and Iam not gay either. I can only say in the words of Lord Warren Hastings.. I am shocked at my moderation.. I have deleted all the old pictures of churches, residency , sufis as a token of my belief ..I am a photographer I shot what I saw..
I am also a coward but I dared to wield a daggar to cut open my forehead not only as a Shia but as a photographer to feel what it was the other side of the lens.. and I discovered..I was lucky someone was there to shoot me otherwisw I would have not seen the fear in my own eyes and the infallibilty of
pictorial moment .. engraved on the emulsion of my soul..and I believe I am a victim of religious racism.. and bigotry.. and my credibility as a photographer was kept aside when making this judgement.. I was martyred by the same blog.. that I thought was the most unique form of expression...
I have no other grouse.. my kind of photography is still in its cradle .. I only hope it does not end up in the grave at the residency of a blogosphere.
