We've been asked by a client to research the passenger sailing route to Australia - from England - in 1900. It's taken us a year to come up with the archive material, some of which is fascinating (some isn't!!).
PART TWO: This is the SS Ophir, on the run from London via Plymouth, Gibraltar, Marseilles, Cairo...etc.

To the person (who shall remain un-named) who sent me a message saying this picture is not worthy of Fotothing....NO APOLOGIES....not many photographs from 1900 amongst my friends portfolios...so it's just a bit of general-knowledge/fun/with a bit of interest value. Chill.

This is great! As an old seafarer, any shot that shows history and can educate is welcome by me!
