Nzshutter's Fotothing

The Rally of Otago is taking place over this weekend and I went out to see what the action was going to create photowise. Here is a series of shots I took of cars racing in Special Stage 5, which was within walking distance from my home. There were 97 cars taking part but not all got to the stage that I was watching. And this was on the first day.

An extremely quick Mazda RX7. This driver had a lucky escape last year after he crashed this car and suffered a lung bleed and other injuries. The car was rebuilt to the tune of $50,000 and the result is what you see here.
