It was a celebration of the Otago Central Railway. The Vulcan Railcar, steam engines, and the other two classes of diesel locomotives that were present on the day, were also plying this line at the time. Hopefully Kevin and Shirley, these shots will compliment the ones you both took. These are also for deafcon1's viewing pleasure. :-)
I can relate to this shot. I had to do this when I worked for the railways years ago. In fact this is the very turntable that used to be in the loco yard that I worked at. Turning a loco wasnt as hard as it looks. It is all in the balancing and getting the loco in the right spot. | |
