this is a bridge on the old main walkway which used to exist all around the island, it was used by people, oxen and dunkies and horses as there were no cars nor roads till the early 20s of the XXth century. Now most of it has collapsed as many parts hang over cliffs, some still visible but not walkable and some , like this bridge, were lucky enough to be recovered and rebuilt. It leads to a small tunnel and a little further it reaches the road, which we think, covered the ancient walkway. Me and my husband are trying to register as many as these walkways as we can, perhaps write a small book on them later one, but the job is infinit as there are thousands of these worth exploring!
