Why don't we sell the cheaper black models?
To be honest we sold those before, and there was so much defectives that we were loosing money on those sale. The black 3 port 5 port model switches which are a couple dollars cheaper than our 2008 new models HAS A PROBLEM being compatitable with some of the HD receivers from Comcast and Direct TV. That is why we have decided to drop that line and go with the improved model which fixes today problem + added quality.

How this unit works:
Auto Switch works by detecting units that is currently powered on. If more than two units are power on at the same time, you could simply use your included remote to manually select the device you wish to use. If only 1 device is on, that particular device will be automatically detected by the HDMI Switch.

What is Version 1.3?

Version 1.3 HDMI technology supports up to 1440p(not yet out there) in resolution, it is a must to future proof your HD setup.
