The Kings Walkway at El-Chorro is just a ten minute drive away from our home. It is a fantastic place, much like a smaller version of the Grand Canyon.

About ten years ago my husband and I did some of this walk, but that was before it was closed to the public due to its dangerous state of repair and the fact that four people had died while attempting it. I have never before or since been so afraid�it�s a very long way to look down and I don�t like heights. :-o
Today only the many rock climbers who visit the area have access to the gorge.

The Spanish government said a few years ago that they were going to repair the walkway.
Since then nothing has been done and I suspect nothing will be.....it would cost too much and even if repaired it would be a very dangerous place for the public to be.
The week after we walked it a young woman fell to her death there, sadly she was one of many and the reason for it being closed.

Didn't have time to watch the video this morning. Have watched it now, the walkway is in a very poor state isn't it. The biggest obstacle i suspect would be money, after all with enough money anything can be achieved.
