June 22nd was the Romeria De San Juan in our village, itís only a small affair compared with the ones on the coast but we had a great time. The Romeria goes right past our houseÖ.twice, so we just had to join in the walk.

Here is my view of the day, not always in the order they were taken. I hope you enjoy this view of our little village in Spain.

Yes I can imagine Peter.
San Juan is the ONLY time now that people are allowed to light fires on the beach without a licence. I must admit that at midnight I was wishing we were on the coast and could follow the tradition of going in the sea...it's very hot up here in the campo in the summer time.
We are looking forward to the autumn when the weather is cooler, that's the time to explore more of this amazing place and the gorgeous scenery that surrounds us here.

If you and your wife get down this way again let us know.....

No Peter, we are about a fourty minute drive from Malaga.

I hope you don't have to go to Seville in the summer, it's a beautiful city but way too hot outside of the winter months!

Here for the last three weeks it has been 37 degrees in the shade, 34 in the house with windows and blinds closed and all the ceiling fans running.

Next month it should get hot ! :-))
