This is an old photo (about 7 years ago) just to show you the structure of the dam. It used to be possible to walk through just below road level, but as everywhere for security reasons that is not now allowed.
On this shot there is much more water than there has been over the last few years, we are in the fourth year of drought !

want to know what is hilarious? I was in Branson this weekend after the wedding and at about the same time you posted these for me, I was driving over a dam (900') that I had never seen before. It was already dark (I had been shooting pics from a scenic overlook above the city until after dark) when we drove over it but I could still clearly see the water on the left and the huge drop on the right!!
