I, Like most most Irish people do not publicly acknowledge this day due to the divided opinions regarding the Irishmen who fought during "The Great War" However as a result of the change in Anglo Irish relations since the successful visit of Queen Elizabeth II to Ireland last year and that it is Sunday 11 November, I choose to publicly remember.

I know the poppies should be red but I haven't any in my stock so I worked on this one taken in my mother's garden in September. It is also her birthday tomorrow :)
