Last June 21, our province was hit by a typhoon lasting to more than 17 hours and brought about so many hundreds of deaths in our province alone (a passenger vessel sunk in another part of the country), hundreds still missing and thousands homeless. These are scenes I was able to take shots of.

This is an ordinary sight now here in our place...muddy vehicles. This one is our local form of transportation which the locals call "jeepney".

By your pictures I realize how lucky we are in the Netherlands without typhoons (and earthquakes or volcanos).

Thank you so much, benny!

Thank you very much for your comment, too, mp0255! People here are slowly going back to their normal lives now except for those who had lost their homes. It will be a long process of cleaning up but we'll be picking up the pieces in due time.

Thank you so much for all your kind comments! I haven't been to those affected areas anymore but I know that people are still in the process of cleaning up until now. The water supplies has been normal very recently only. Thank you all for your concern! I am very grateful!

Hi, Axe! People here are still picking up the pieces. You can still see lots of trash along side the roads but as you said life must go on. Thanks a lot for the comment!
