Our trip to Abu Simbel situated almost near the border of Sudan was exciting because we had to leave at 3 in the morning and it has to be in a convoy of more than 50 big buses and with military escorts because there was a time when it was attacked by rebels. Abu Simbel must be familiar with fans of Indiana Jones (like my dear hubby) 'cause one of his movies were taken at this place. Seen during this 3-4 hours trip was a stretch of the desert only.

	Apr 05 2008 14:56 GMT PhotoPro PRO this is stunning dear mavik!! just 10 minutes ago - I was thinking about an Indiana Jones movie!! your husband will appreciate this: on on of the Indiana Jones movies - it's the one in the bazaar (with the baskets I think) Indy is supposed to have this big sword fight with a huge native - he starts to swing around the sword, kinda grunts and then pulls out his pistol and shoots the guy instead. Well, the reason for this was even though the script called for a huge exhausting sword fight, Harrison Ford was very sick that day of filming so he asked Spielberg if he could do - act like a sword fight then pull out the gun - and movie history was made!!
