Last June 21, our province was hit by a typhoon lasting to more than 17 hours and brought about so many hundreds of deaths in our province alone (a passenger vessel sunk in another part of the country), hundreds still missing and thousands homeless. These are scenes I was able to take shots of.

So sorry for the blurry shots 'cause I was inside the car when I took these
pictures.

It must have been such a traumatic experience for so many people.

This is the worst typhoon ever to hit our province. Flood water reached more than 14 ft. and most of the houses on the low areas were totally submerged and their are such sad stories which you can hear about like there was one mother with 3 children desperately hanging on to an electric pole and one child (7months old) was swept away by the strong current and the mother had second thoughts whether to get that baby or not but in the end she made the decision not to (which was wise). It's really very sad.

So many typhoons still coming, Ruedi! Don't know what the Filipino people will do now that there's destruction of agricultural land everywhere. Most of the rice fields were covered with mud and stones (due to landslide).
